Winamp is a powerful free media player for Windows and Android. It can play lots of video and audio format, such as MP3, MIDI, MOD, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, WMA, WMV, AVI, etc. You can also sync the unprotected to your iPod and other portable devices. How to rip CD with Winamp
First, install and download Winamp and the best codecs to work with Winamp, such as the K-Lite Codec Pack. Insert the music CD into your computer's hard drive and run Winamp.
1. Click "View" > "Media Library" to open Winamp Media Library. On the left bar, you will see "Audio CD (E:)". Click on it and you will see all the songs on the CD displayed on the primary window of Winamp. Then click the "Rip" button at the bottom of the window and choose "CD ripping preferences" to set the output file settings.
2. Go to the "output file settings" tab to choose the destination folder to save the ripped tracks and set the filename. And in the "Encoder" tab, select the codec you want to use when ripping. You can either choose MP3 or MP4, which are supported by most MP3 players. If you want to play the tracks on your computer, you can choose OGG, which provides the best sound quality.
3. Now click the "Rip" button again. You have two choices for CD ripping: Rip all tracks and rip selected tracks. If you just want to rip a few tracks, you can click on them (Hold down the Ctrl key and click one multiple songs.) and then click "Rip" and choose "Rip selected tracks" to rip the selected songs.
Winamp will show you the ripping process with the status updated every second. The finished songs will be labeled as "Complete" and pending tracks will be labeled as Pending. After Winamp finished the CD ripping process, it will show you the track list. You can just find the songs in your defined output folder.
Tips:
