iTunes Movie Rental is a very good service and it works smoothly. All you have to do is to visit the iTunes store and find the movie that you want, then pay and download it. However, when it comes to iTunes movie rentals there are so many options and the DRM is attached to them. How to Rent a Movie on iTunes
The first step is to log in to your account and then find the movie that you wish to rent. Once you find the movie, click the Rent button, it appears beneath the movie poster. You should know that some movies are available for only purchase or rental and others might be available for both.
Once you have selected the movie that you want to rent and purchased it, the movie is going to download from the iTunes store and will be placed in its own category in the iTunes source list. This category cannot be disabled or enabled under your iTunes preferences. The movie appears automatically in the event that there is currently rented content in your library. The iTunes movie rental category provides an indication in case you have any rented movie, which will expire within 24 hours. The indication has a red icon and is in the iTunes source list.
Movies that you have already started watching are highlighted in a similar way, with a red expiry notice. iTunes give periodic reminders every time you have a movie that is almost expiring.
