How to split MKV files easily
The guide below will show you how to split a video in Windows. If you are using a Mac, please get the Mac version. The interface and related guide for clipping MKV video on Mac is almost the same.
1Add the MKV files
The initial step is to launch the program. There are two screen ratio for you to choose: widescreen (16 : 9) and standard screen (4 : 3). Then you need to load your file by clicking "Import". You can also directly drag the target video from local computer to media library.
2Cut MKV file into multiple clips
Next, you need to drag the MKV video from the media library to the timeline panel. After the video appearing in the video track, you can move the playback indicator to the spot where you want to separate the video and then click the "Scissors" button.
