What is TS?
TS is a standard format for transmission and storage of audio, video, and data. It is widely used in broadcast systems. TS was designed to multiplex digital video and audio and synchronize the output as well.
Why convert TS to MPEG
Many people have asked me the same question "I bought a new mobile telephone, but the TS video does not work on it! How to convert TS to MPEG or other common formats in Windows?"
How to change video from TS to MPEG
To make the TS work on mobile phones, the only and the best way is converting TS to MPEG. MPEG is a widely supported video format. To carry out the process, you need a video tool. You can search "Video Converter", and then piles of video converters are there. However, frankly speaking, I do not see how useful they are. For me, the only useful tool I've ever encountered is Video Converter Ultimate. It helps me so much in video converting and DVD ripping. Let's see the process of converting TS to MPEG.
1 Add TS videos to the app
Click the Add Files button to import TS video files. Or you can directly drag the video files you want to convert to the main interface.
2 Choose the output video format
.mpeg is the file extension for MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 video files. So you need to choose either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 as the output video formats in the "Profile".
3 Edit videos (optional)
The TS to MPEG Converter provides you some features to edit videos. You can click the "Edit" button on the main interface to crop the video frame size, adjust the zoom, make stylish video by adding watermark and changing video effect as well as plug in subtitles.
4 Start the TS to MPEG conversion
When everything is ready, hit the "Start" button to finish the video conversion. In a few minutes, the Video Converter Ultimate has done everything for you. Then you can enjoy the videos freely.
About MPEG
You might be confused with MPEG-4, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2. Here just briefly introduces the three kind of video formats.
MPEG-1: Coding of moving pictures and associated audio for digital storage media at up to about 1.5 Mbit/s. It is widely used for these videos that used for CD.
MPEG-2: Generic coding of moving pictures and associated audio information. It is widely used on television broadcasting and blue-ray discs.
MPEG-4: Coding of audio-visual objects. It is the most widely used video formats. Videos with MPEG-4 can be supported by a variety of devices, ranging from Apple devices to smartphones, ordinary cell phones.
I don't have a lot of call to convert TS to anything, but this video converter is the "Ultimate" just like the name suggest. It can do pretty much anything anyone would need it to do outside of a professional studio, and even then it can do just as good.
Until now I wasn't sure what TS was, other than a difficult format to work with. Trust Aimersoft to deliver a solution. Kudos to you guys!
