Do you have music on your iPad that you want to transfer to your iPod? Down below, we’re going to be teaching you how to transfer music from iPad to iPod with 7 completely unique transfer tool solutions! Most of these will be third-party programs — as the traditional ‘transfer’ methods available right now (i.e. iTunes) has lots of limitations that might prevent you from easily transferring from one device to another.
For our first transfer solution, we have the iMusic transfer tool. iMusic is primarily a transfer software. However, it does offer a lot more than that (we have a list of available features right before our tutorial below.) One of its most unique features, is the fact that it will allow you to connect to two devices at the same time. So that you can transfer your music from one to the other (without having to use a workaround method that takes forever. If you want to learn how to use this program for your transfer needs, continue reading!
The first thing that you need to do in order to transfer music from your iPad and iPod, is make sure that both devices are connected to your PC. Once you’ve connected them, you can go to the DEVICE tab of iMusic (shown below), click the little ‘device’ icon at the top left- hand corner of the screen, and then select your iPad from the list of available devices.
We selected the iPad because we’re going to be transferring music from the iPad to the iPod.To do this with iMusic, all you need to do is make sure that you’re on the DEVICE tab (1), and then select the “Transfer Music to Other Device” option!
After clicking the transfer option, iMusic should then begin transferring your music automatically! Just wait a couple of minutes (or so), and all the media on your iPad should now be on your iPod!
For this next transfer tool, we have AnyTrans. Which, much like iMusic, will allow you to easily movie music from your iPad to your iPad — which, again, we’re going to be demonstrating for you down below. It uses an interface that is a bit different from iMusic, but they do offer a lot of the same features (although iMusic is a little more flexible, especially with the available download/backup tools.)
In order to start, you need to make sure that you have both of your iPad and iPod connected (just like with iMusic.) Then, you need to select the Connect to Device option on the main menu page.
Next, make sure that the iPod is the target (you can exchange which you want to transfer music from and to on this page.) Then, once you have everything arranged, click the right-arrow button on the right-hand side of the screen.
For the next page, the media categories that can be transferred from one device to another will be available. You can choose which you want and do not want to transfer. Of course, for copying music to your iPod, just make sure that you have the Music category ticked on! To finish up, all you need to do is click the right-arrow button again, and AnyTrans should instantly begin copying your music to your iPod.
We’re going to be ending the next 5 iPad to iPod transfer tools in a list format. For this, rather than breaking down how you can use the program, we’re going to be talking about how much it costs, where you can get it from, and the key features of each product. So, we’ll be able to introduce you to as much as we can, in an as short amount of time as possible!

For our next transfer tool, we have TunesGo. Which does, again, have the iPad to iPod transfer feature that we demonstrated in iMusic — the interface is pretty similar as well. So, you shouldn’t have too difficult a time working with this one. As far as its other features. You do get the opportunity to transfer other types of media as well (not just music), and there’s an added Toolbox that has basic backup/restore options that you can use if you want to store your media on your PC.

MobileTrans is the first data transfer tool in this list that primarily offers only device to device transfer. It’s not just for music either. Multi-media transfer is available – so that you can movie photos, contacts, text messages, call logs, etc. It’s definitely one of the easiest programs to use if all you need to do is transfer music to your iPod or iPod. Just make sure that both devices are connected, and that you have your iPad chosen as your “Source” and your iPod selected as your “Destination.)

Our second-to-the-last recommended iPad to iPod transfer program is MobiMover. It’s our first “FREE” program on this list. Although, if you haven’t already noticed, there is still a price tag attached to it. That’s because it offers its more ‘basic’ features in a FREE version that you can try out if you want. However, if you want to be able to use it for the long-term (with all the features unlocked), you’re going to have to download and purchase the Pro Version of it. Which, even though it’s not as expensive in the long-term as our first two picks, is still pretty expensive – considering that it is primarily just a transfer software.

For our last program, we have the FonePaw transfer tool. It’s not as premium as the other programs we’ve discussed thus far. Hence, why it is much cheaper. However, it does offer a lot of the features that you’re going to need if you’re just looking to transfer music from iPad to iPod. You also get some backup features and data management features as well – which is always a good bonus.
