How to compress videos

In this guide, you’ll learn how to compress videos with Aimersoft Video Suite for Mac or Windows PC. This media editing software can reduce the video file size by adjusting the percentage or other settings like the bitrate or resolution.

Part 1. How to compress video on Windows

Install Aimersoft Video Suite on Windows and then tap the Compressor tool on the home window. The Compressor tool will pop up immediately.

Now click Add Files on the window’s center to open File Explorer and upload the video you want to compress. Alternatively, just drag-n-drop the video clip on the workspace.

After uploading your video files, open the File Size menu and then compress the videos by 90% up to 30%. Remember, the lower the percentage, the higher the compression rate.

Another way to compress a video is to change the settings of each video, although this might be time-consuming. In this case, click the Settings icon and drag the percentage icon to reduce the file size as depicted on the graph. Alternatively, open the Resolution menu and choose lower video quality. You can also adjust the Bitrate and Format before clicking Preview to crosscheck the video. Press Ok to proceed.

Start by choosing a folder path for the compressed video in the File Location field. Then, press Compress to begin compressing the video on Aimersoft Video Suite. Finally, click Finished to see the compressed video.

Part 2. How to compress video on Mac

Install and run Aimersoft Video Suite on Mac and then press the Compressor tab on the home screen. The Compressor window will launch immediately.

Locate your video on Finder and then drag and drop it on the Compressor window. Alternatively, click Add Files at the center of the window to open your local video files or folder.

Aimersoft Video Suite allows you to compress videos by reducing the original file size by 30% up to 90%. However, remember that a higher percentage means a lower compression rate.

Another way is to click the Settings and then choose a video quality on theResolution menu. On this window, you can also adjust the Bitrate and Format. Also, you can drag the percentage playhead to reduce or increase the file size. Lastly, press Preview to crosscheck the video before clicking Ok to save your changes.

Press File Location to choose a destination folder for the compressed video, then tap Compress. Now, wait for the software to finish compressing the video before clicking the Finished tab to view your new video. That’s it!.

Part 3. How to compress videos in batch

Install Aimersoft Video Suite on Mac/Win and then tap the Compressor tool on the home window. The Compressor tool will pop up immediately.

Tap Add Files menu and then choose Add Files or Add Folder to upload multiple videos or a whole folder. Either way, the video upload speed is instant.

After uploading your videos, it’s time to choose the compression rate. To do that, tap the File Size drop-down arrow and then select to compress by 90% up to 30%. The lower the percentage, the higher the compression rate for your videos.

After choosing a compression rate, tap the File Location menu and select a folder path. Lastly, press Start All to start compressing the videos. Click the Finished tab to view the compressed videos. That’s it!
