How to rip protected DVD to your computer
The detailed guide here uses DVD Ripper for Windows screenshots. The steps to copy protected DVD to video/audio to your hard drive on Mac are the same.
1Load DVD movies
Insert the DVD disc into your computer's DVD-ROM and open the DVD converter. Then click "Load DVD" to import the DVD movies. You can select the subtitles and audio tracks after the DVD has been loaded. And if you want to convert the DVD movie to a single file, you can choose "Merge into One File".
2Choose output settings
Click "Profile" and choose the output video/audio format you like. You can either choose MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, etc. as the output format or select the icon of a device/software to get videos with optimized settings for a certain device/software like iPhone, iPad, iPod, HTC, Samsung, etc.
3Start ripping protected DVD
Finally, click the Start button to start the protected DVD ripping process. After the conversion completes, you can click "Find Target" to get the ripped media files.

i have purchased DVD ripper and have a Video which has the correct files (BUP.IFO & VOB) but every time I try to load the files the error states that it fails to load? Any ideas? common problems with the software?
