1Search the video you want to download
After running the program, you then need to open the web browser and navigate to the site with videos as you like. Search the video you'd like to save and play it. Users for Windows version can also search the target videos via the built-in web browser. You can simply click the Online Video menu on the top of the interface to open the browser.
Tips: Before downloading, you are able to specify the directories for the files you downloaded and converted. For Mac, click YouTube Downloader on the top left corner of the interface > Preferences > Location. For Windows, click the Arrow button on the top right corner > Preferences > Location.
2Save FLV videos from websites
This program offers you various options for downloading:
1> By clicking the Download button
When you move your mouse pointer on the playing video, a Download button will appear on the top right corner of the video as the picture below shows. Click it to start the grabbing process.
Note: The Download extension is compatible with Safari 6.0 and above, Firefox 15.0 and above, Chrome 22.0 and above. If you're using other browsers, please turn to another 2 ways.
2> By copying and pasting the video URL
Once you have found the video, copy the video URL in the address bar. And then resume to the program and click Paste URL on the left side of the interface.
3> By dragging video URL to the program
After you drag and drop the video URL into the program, the application will start to analyze the URL and then download the file.
3Change the captured videos to your preferred formats (Optional)
Video presets for mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android, game devices, Apple software are offered, letting you convert FLV so as to fit different systems and devices. To convert a video, you need to click Downloaded on the left of the interface to access to the videos you downloaded. Then choose the video you want to convert and click the Convert button next to it to activate the Output window.
Tips: If you are a registered user, you'll find that there is a Download and Convert button at the top right corner of the interface. When the feature is on, the program will automatically download and convert videos to the format you've set.
