I've tried the same rename things, but didn't work.
I was able to stream my mp4 video files from my Windows Media Player to other devices on my network by just renaming them to mp4v
Not all software works correctly on every PC. I have Quicktime for Windows and VLC player. Both had issues with mp4 files that WMP can play OK. It's good to know many methods. Thanks.
Wouldn't it just be easier to dl Quicktime for Windows & let it open any mp4 or mov files, etc.? I think Quicktime is free.
